The essence of Vermouth

A sensory journey into the aromatic heart of Turin

Turin is the city of vermouth. It's where it all began: amidst spices, Piedmontese white wines, and the desire to tell the story of a region through a glass.

The Essence of Vermouth is a unique experience born from the encounter between Eccetera , an experiential space in the Vanchiglietta district, and Essentialia , an olfactory project that explores the language of perfumes in a narrative key.
The tour is created in collaboration with Cocchi , a historic Asti winery, custodian of some of the most interesting expressions of Piedmontese vermouth since 1891.

The appointment is for Saturday 28 June at 7:00 pm .
An evening for those who love to let their nose guide them, taste with awareness, and delve deeper into what we often drink automatically.
An evening for those who believe that drinking culture is also about storytelling.

What happens during the experience?

Through Essentialia's olfactory approach, we will explore the distinctive aromas of Cocchi vermouths—from the classic Storico to Vermouth di Torino Dry—recognizing their nuances, herbs, and spices.
Then we will taste them, discovering the differences between the various expressions and how these are reflected in the taste.

Finally, we'll close the experience by preparing a great classic: the Negroni.
